Suneet Singal was born and raised in Santa Clara, California. He attended Sacramento’s prestigious Jesuit High School, studied industrial engineering at California Polytechnic State University, and earned a finance degree from California State University, Sacramento.
The famous Golden State school, also known as Sac State, is a higher education institution that celebrates diversity and fosters lifelong prosperity for its graduates. Singal earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in finance with a concentration in investments from Sac State.
He was heavily involved in several student societies and activities while attending California State University, Sacramento. The Cultural Club at the university was one of these activities and societies. Singal created “A Taste of the World,” which featured many different cultural organizations promoting diversity through activities such as historic food, dance, music, and art at Cal Poly and Sac St. These events were highly regarded, and established traditions would last for many years. The Cultural Club invites Sac State students to experience the world through the eyes of international students and others from other countries.
Professional Skills and Experience
Suneet Singal manages highly complex sophisticated transactions and brings a broad skill set and a wide range of solutions, including but not limited to financial structuring, direct investment, equity and debt placement, acquisition, disposition, finance and structure negotiations, entity structure foreign and domestic, board and management formation and selection, advisory committee formation and selection, litigation management, partner buyouts, capital market exits foreign and domestic, and entity structure foreign and domestic. He spent much of his previous career developing real estate master plans. Commercial real estate, land entitlement, principal sponsorship, and transportation-oriented development were all included.
His current focus is on a mix of real estate and non-real estate assets and business ventures, including those centered on green energy, specifically renewable energy. His clients include family offices and other large asset portfolio holders. Singal counsels these clients on capital structures, including complex domestic and international transactions. Suneet Singal has previously served on the boards of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts, the American Association of Private Lenders, and the International Council of Shopping Centers.
